Mohamad Reza Javadi-Yeganeh

Mohamad-Reza Javadi-Yeganeh, born in,1969, Tehran, is an assistant Professor of Sociology at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Tehran, Iran. He finished his high school in 1987, received his BA in 1994 from the University of Tehran (Thesis: Ideological conflict in the Second and Third Development plan in Iran), and finished his MA in 1998 in the field of social sciences, University of Allameh_Tabatabaei, Iran. He did his Ph.D. in sociology at the University of Tarbiat Modaress, Tehran, in 2004. His Ph.D. dissertation titled (Social Dilemma in Iran) (abstract) was evaluated to be one of the recent and outstanding contributions to the field. Javadi-Yeganeh has been teaching and doing research since 1995 on
subjects such as sociology of literature and cinema, media studies, and historical sociology of Iran and has published a number of scholarly papers on the same subjects in scientific journals. His first book titled \The Planned Social Change] was published by IRIB in 2001. He was the general director of the Iranian Radio Research Section and was the chief Eeditor of Radio Magazine from 1999 until 2005. He was also the director of international conference on religion and media in 2005, which was held at the University of Tehran. Javadi-Yeganeh also was Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Social Science, University of Tehran. He was granted three scientific prizes for his book and his thesis.
